NH Primary Source: Republican Janet Stevens launches District 3 Executive Council candidacy

STEVENS RUNNING FOR COUNCIL. Nonprofit advocate and small business owner Janet Stevens of Rye, after exploring the possibility for many weeks, is making it official Thursday. She’s a candidate for the District 3 Executive Council seat.

Stevens hopes to succeed fellow Republican Russell Prescott, who is not seeking a fourth term. She immediately received the endorsement of state Republican Party matriarch and former District 3 Executive Councilor Ruth Griffin and Kitty Sununu, the wife of former Sen. John E. Sununu.
