As a reference, I have compiled a partial listing of behavioral health care services for New Hampshire families with children either in need or diagnosed with a behavioral/mental health disorder. -Janet

CALL 911  Calling 911 in the event of a mental crisis is ALWAYS an option.  NAMI provides information on the how to keep the situation “as calm as possible”.

Waypoint Family Support Warm Line800-640-6486 (Monday -Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm)

The Family Support Warm Line is a partnership between Waypoint and the State of New Hampshire.  A free phone-in service, callers can talk confidentially to family support professionals “to get help with everything from coping strategies, child behaviors, and family dynamics…”.

NAMI NH

NAMI NH offers support and guidance for parents of children with an emotional/behavioral health disorder.  Services include, parent support groups, one-on-one support for family members seeking help/guidance, NH Family Network, and an Information Resource Line (800-242-6264). NEW HAMPSHIRE’S COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTERS (CMHC)

There are ten CMHC’s located throughout the State, contracted with the NH Department of Health & Human Services to provide “publicly funded mental health services to individuals and families who meet certain criteria for services”.  District Three residents can access services at Seacoast Mental Health or the Center for Life Management.

Seacoast Mental Health – Seacoast Mental Health covers mental health care for District Three families and children in need of behavioral health care (w/Center Life Management).

Seacoast Mental Health serves as the Mobile Response Access Point for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Trained staff are available 24/7 – including holidays – to provide “over the phone support with referral to outpatient services or to have a Mobile Crisis Response Team from Seacoast Mental Health come to you.”

Center For Life Management
Atkinson, Chester, Danville, Derry, Hampstead, Newton, Pelham, Plaistow, Salem, Sandown, Windham

The Center For Life Management in Derry covers mental health care for District Three families and children in need of behavioral health care (w/Seacoast Mental Health)

The Center for Life Management serves as the Mobile Response Access Point for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
