JANET ON THE ISSUES
TAXES AND SPENDING
As your next Executive Councilor I will be a fiscal hawk. Due to COVID, state revenues are projected to be down $350 to $500 million and we need a fiscal conservative to ensure New Hampshire taxpayers are getting the best deal possible. I have the experience in all 3 sectors -private, non-profit, and government – to make sure government services are being delivered efficiently and transparently.
As your Executive Councilor I will oppose sole source contracts and advocate for more competition in the bid process, I will say “no” to new taxes, fees, or tolls, and I’ll cut the fat from bloated government programs.
2nd Amendment
I support our constitutional right to bear arms and as your next Councilor I’ll be an advocate for the 2nd amendment. That means I’ll support pro 2A judges who will stand by New Hampshire’s “Stand Your Ground” law, who will deem “Red Flag” bills as unconstitutional attempts to impede on your rights, and who will stand with our Constitution.
SCHOOL CHOiCE
I support school choice and I support a parent’s ability to choose the best path for their children’s educations. I’m the only candidate in this race who stood up to applaud the Supreme Court’s overturning of the racist “Blaine Amendment”. I will be a strong ally to Commissioner Edelblut on the Executive Council
I Support Our POLICE, FIRST RESPONDERS, AND OUR Veterans
I will stand with law enforcement and first responders to ensure they have the necessary resources to keep our communities safe so New Hampshire remains the best and safest place to raise a family or build a business.
While some would like to defund our police, I proudly back the blue. I am proud to be endorsed by members of the law enforcement community including prior police chiefs.
When it comes to Veterans I will always be a strong advocate. I’ve given much time, energy, and support to a number of Veterans organizations in New Hampshire and the United States including Wounded Warriors and the US Navy Seal Museum. It was an honor to receive a Navy SEAL paddle for the work I did advocating for the museum to US Senators. I will always take care of those who risked it all to keep America the greatest country on Earth.
THE ECONOMY
The Executive Council doesn’t play a direct role in making policy decisions but what we can do is shape state government to reflect our pro-business values.
The government doesn’t create jobs but it can create an environment for entrepreneurs and small businesses to be successful. I will support state agency nominees who are pro-business, who won’t overregulate our industries, who will work to lower energy costs, and who believe -like I do- that it’s the government’s role to allow our economy to flourish.
I will be an advocate for good roads and bridges and ensure the 10 year highway plan takes care of District 3. Our district plays a critical role in the state’s economy and tourism industry. From Portsmouth to Pelham, our job creators need a good infrastructure to be successful and that includes finishing the widening of I-93 and the creation of Exit 4A in Derry.
